Beachmere is a small picturesque town in the Moreton Bay region, east of Caboolture and across the Pumicestone Passage from Bribie Island.
This town has waterfront parklands along with shopping and entertainment facilities. At the last census, the population was under 4,000 people with slightly more females to males.
The name Beachmere essentially means ‘upon marshy ground’ and was given this name by the then owner of the land, P. Gonney.
